Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Appware Pty Ltd (ACN 674 815 297, ABN 88 674 815 297), an Australian company ("Appware", "we", "us") handles personal information collected through appware.au. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect
- Information you send us: your name, email address, the engagement scope you choose, an optional AWS account ID and any notes you write. The engagement form on this site does not store anything on the site itself; it prepares an email to hello@appware.au in your own email app, and we receive it as ordinary email.
- Technical data: your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, processed by our hosting and content delivery provider (Amazon Web Services) so the site can be delivered and protected.
- Messages you send us by email or otherwise.
Advertising and measurement (Meta Pixel)
We use the Meta Pixel on this site. It sends Meta Platforms, Inc. and its affiliates ("Meta") information about your visit: pages viewed, certain actions (page view, content view, clicking our email address, starting an engagement request), your IP address, browser details and cookie identifiers. We use this to measure and improve our advertising and to reach people who may be interested in our services. We do not send the contents of the engagement form to Meta; the engagement-request event carries only the tier chosen.
Meta handles that information under its own policies. You can control ads shown to you in your Meta ad preferences, review or switch off off-Meta activity at https://www.facebook.com/off_facebook_activity, and block cookies in your browser.

Who we share it with
We share personal information only with service providers that help us run the business (for example hosting, email and, where described above, advertising measurement), with professional advisers, and where the law requires. Some of these providers, including Amazon Web Services and Meta, may handle information outside Australia, including in the United States. We take reasonable steps to make sure overseas providers handle it appropriately.
Keeping it safe and how long we keep it
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access. We keep enquiry correspondence only as long as it is needed for the engagement, our records and legal obligations, then delete or de-identify it.
Access, correction and complaints
You can ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you by emailing hello@appware.au. We aim to respond within 30 days. To ask for deletion, see our Data Deletion page. If you are not satisfied with how we handle a privacy matter you can complain to us, and if it is not resolved you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at https://www.oaic.gov.au.
